I’m Corinna Allen, an Emmy Award-winning journalist and “late-in-life” wife and mother.

Engaged on my 40th birthday and married six months later, I like to say my 20s lasted 20 years!

I had a ball.

As a journalist, I talked with experts every day and learned a little bit from each one.

Literally! 

It was celebrity chef, Emeril Lagasse, who taught me the secret to poaching an egg.

(It’s vinegar.) 

But no one teaches you how to scrub the pot when you let the egg burn.

Becoming a wife and mother in my 40s was filled with scorched-pot moments, with no clear place to turn.

Now, when I find the answer, I want to share it!
